What People Say
Here are some comments from owners of my paintings.
This is one of my most loved paintings, I could not let go of this one for a long time and now it hangs, proudly in one
of the most appreciative homes I have had the pleasure to stumble across. Adriaan and Benita have commented “ We love Richards painting so much, it moves, dances and changes as you look at it. It is full of depth and love”
Sweet Surprise is owned by Ms Moore from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. Her comments were:
"The first time I saw it I thought 'look at all the beautiful colours'. Now everyday I see new shades and nuances in the changing light of the day. It is magical."
This painting is called Fire and Rain and Louise from Gloucestershire England is the very proud owner. Louise comments:
"I like that you can look at it for hours and there's still more to discover. Also, I love the depth of it and how each layer creeps out at different points, it's sort of mysterious. I've now got it in my freshly painted orange bedroom, it's such a nice contrast."
I have a great affinity with this painting and am very glad it is under the watchful eye of young Darren. It hangs in all its splendour in the Victoria Towers, Melbourne City. Darren's comments are:
"I have had Richard's painting as a feature in my home for just on 12 months now. From the moment I chose it until now, it still puts me in a trance. The depth of colours, intensity, and the unknown intrigues me, I love it. It is so ME! And will stay with me for life. This is the Planet I am From – Even the title sums me up all over! Thank you RC."
I remember this painting took a long time to finish, months in fact. The moment I looked at it and realised that it was actually completed, that amazing song At Last by Etta James was playing in the background, and so the painting was so named! I love it, 'tis wonderfully layered and dynamic. It now hangs in Aimee's home in Brisbane, Australia. Aimee says it is colourful, playful, exciting and wild.
"You become immersed in its frenetic energy. It is a joy to behold every time you look at it."
The Summer of 69 hangs majestically in R and R's home in Brisbane.
"I glance at this painting a hundred times a day. Sometimes I stop and look closer, each time I see different things, different colours, different reflection of light, parts that I have never seen before. I find it really amazing that some much complexity can bring such a simple feeling of warmth and happiness. We both love this work and we consider ourselves fortunate to have one of Richard's paintings in our home."
Fire Cracker is a very special painting for me and now hangs with great pride in a delightful cottage nestled in the Cotswolds, England. The owner says that it is her favourite piece of art and blends perfectly with their 70s style home.
"Richard's works are timeless and provide a never ending pleasure to behold the texture and colour."
